Privacy at a glance

ValKeeper's core extension feature is designed to work locally: saved form datasets remain in browser extension storage. The website separately processes information you submit for support and may use analytics.

01

Extension data

ValKeeper captures form values only when you ask it to create a dataset. Those datasets are stored in your browser's local extension storage and are not sent to a ValKeeper server. ValKeeper does not require an account.

Password inputs and file-upload fields are intentionally excluded. You can export datasets to a JSON file or import them from one; these actions happen only when you initiate them. Anyone with access to your browser profile or exported files may be able to access that data, so avoid capturing sensitive or production information.

02

Information you provide

If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, selected subject, and message. If you submit a bug report, we collect your name, email address, description, and any page URL you choose to include. We use this information to respond, provide support, investigate issues, and improve ValKeeper. Please do not include passwords, API keys, customer records, extension backups, or other sensitive data.

03

Website usage data

When analytics is enabled on this website, Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address, and referral information. Google may use cookies or similar technologies for this purpose. Our hosting and security infrastructure may also process technical request information, including IP addresses and timestamps, to deliver and protect the site.

04

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the website and its support features. This currently includes Supabase for storing contact messages and bug reports, Google Analytics when analytics is configured, and our website hosting provider. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.

05

Retention and security

Extension datasets remain in your browser until you edit them, delete them, clear the extension's storage, or uninstall the extension. We keep support messages and bug reports only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain the product, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

06

Your choices

You can delete extension datasets from ValKeeper, remove its local data through your browser, and choose not to submit website forms. You may also limit analytics through browser privacy settings, content blockers, or Google's available opt-out tools. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you submitted to us, use the contact page below. Applicable law may provide additional rights.

07

Children and changes

ValKeeper is a developer and QA tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as ValKeeper changes. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably practical.
